Trutex Limited makes school uniform and sportswear for primary and senior schools. Its website says it has supplied schoolwear since 1865 and has roots in the Lancashire textile industry; its registered office is on Taylor Street in Clitheroe. The range includes blazers, skirts, trousers, shirts, blouses, polo shirts and PE kit, and the company says some blazers, skirts and trousers are made from recycled polyester.

Trutex sells online, through independent retailers across the UK and through what it calls school supply partnerships, and parents can register to their school on the site. AKOA is its sportswear range created for schools, with customisable kit and a 3D kit builder for school colours. The company says garments are made in approved factories that must follow its corporate social responsibility programme.
