TED NewsDesk, New Delhi: The Union government has advised the universities, colleges, schools and other institutions to log their suggestions on the MyGov app regarding the plan of action for the National Education Policy 2020. The intimation was released in a press release by the University Grants Commission on Thursday.

“The Government of India announced its new National Education Policy (NEP) on July 29, 2020. The policy document was drafted after having the largest consultation and participation of the stakeholders at every level. Subsequently, a National Conclave on Transformational Reforms in Higher Education under National Education Policy on August 7, 2020, was organised followed by the Governors’ Conference on September 9, 2020, and Visitor’s Conference on September 19, 2020. The Ministry of Education (MoE) organised Shikshak Parv from September 5- September 25, 2020, on all the important themes of NEP 2020. A large number of webinars, discussions and meetings are also being organised in various universities and colleges across the country,” said the UGC statement.

It also stated that the Implementation Plan is being set into motion; they are receiving feedback and suggestions from various concerned parties across India. “As a part of the consultation process, an outline of the Implementation Plan covering the Actionable Points and associated activities as envisioned in the NEP 2020 document has been prepared,” it added.

A debate on the structure of the Implementation Plan is ongoing on the government portal, MyGov at https://innovateindia.mygov.in/nep2020-citizen/. The portal will remain open till October 4, 2020.
