Smoothwall Limited, whose registered office is in Leeds, supplies digital safety products to UK education. Its range covers web filtering (an on-premise Filter, Cloud Filter and Hybrid Filter), a firewall, and Monitor, which it describes as real-time, human-moderated monitoring that alerts designated staff to students suspected of becoming vulnerable. It also offers Cloud Scan, Pulse, an Online Safety Hub, training and consultancy, and the Qustodio parental app.
The company says it has been dedicated to UK education for over 20 years and that one in three schools rely on its products; its site also covers monitoring in further education. Smoothwall became part of Qoria in 2021. Qoria, formerly Family Zone and listed in Australia, says it has 650 people in 10 countries and looks after 32,000 schools.
