Audience Systems designs, manufactures and installs retractable, fixed and removable seating, staging and grandstands, and describes itself as serving theatres, schools, universities, sports venues and arenas. For universities it offers lecture theatre seating with its Scholar and Campus seat and desk systems, desks for Harvard-style teaching rooms, multipurpose chairs with foldaway writing tablets, Campus Fold Down retractable lecture theatres and removable matrix systems.
The company history says it was started in 1972 by Sid and Stephen Brackley, moved to Westbury a year later and has been part of Kotobuki Corporation of Japan since 1993. University projects shown on its site include the University of Warwick, Queen’s University Belfast, the University of Durham, the University of Leeds, the University of Surrey and Ulster University.
