Ownership and business model
Oxford International’s website names its trading entity, Oxford International Education & Travel Limited, with a registered office at 259 Greenwich High Road, London, but does not say who owns the business. According to Bowmark Capital, the private equity firm backed the group from March 2014 and realised its investment in March 2021. DC Advisory, which advised on that sale, said THI Investments, a pan-European private equity investor, backed a management buy-out of the university partnerships, online learning and language business, and that the Schools and Colleges division was sold to Nord Anglia Education.
The group’s income comes from international students. It runs pathway and study preparation programmes with partner universities, recruits students directly to universities, offers pre-sessional English and runs the Oxford ELLT English tests. Its partner colleges include Bangor University International College and the Sheffield Hallam University College of International Education, and UHE UK, which it describes as part of Oxford International, opened a London campus in October 2026. Revenue is not published on its website, and current ownership was not confirmed.
