TED NewsDesk, Hyderabad: The Lila Poonawalla Foundation has invited applicants for this year’s merit-cum-need based scholarship in Hyderabad. The annual scholarship that aims to provide economical support to girls with excellent academic background belonging to impoverished families in need of financial help. The scholarship also provides skill development training enabling the girls to choose the career of their choice and build a good professional life.
LPF is an NGO that is active in providing education to less fortunate girls and for the betterment of women for almost 25 years. They have helped 9,300 girls till now. The scholarships are provided to girls of Indian citizenship who are currently enrolled in any one of Hyderabad’s colleges which includes the Medchal-Malakajgiri, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad and Sangareddy districts of the city. The scholarship supports Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)/ Bachelor of Technology (B.TECH.) and BE/BTech after an Engineering Diploma.
