Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS) is a UGC approved deemed university in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, accredited A++ by NAAC, according to its about page. The page says its campus spans more than 245 acres with 60 lakh sq ft of built area.
SIMATS houses 14 institutions, among them Saveetha Dental College, Saveetha Medical College and Hospitals, Saveetha School of Law, Saveetha School of Management and Saveetha College of Physiotherapy, with 5,500 staff and 17,000 students. The Vice Chancellor and the Director head the university and supervise the Registrar and the deans; each institution has associate deans and two heads for every department. Dr. N. M. Veeraiyan is Chancellor.
