Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) was launched in 2011, on an invitation from the Government of Rajasthan, as a self-financed state private university. It is part of the Manipal Education and Medical Group. Its permanent campus is on 122 acres of land allotted at Dehmi Kalan village near Jaipur.
The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes across engineering, architecture, planning, design, fine arts, hospitality, humanities, journalism, basic sciences, law, commerce, computer applications and management. It states that it runs no off-campus centre or study centre in Rajasthan, elsewhere in India or abroad. Dr. N N Sharma is President and Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M. D. Venkatesh chairs the Board of Management.
