KU Leuven is a university in Belgium. Its press service gives a figure of 65,000 students and 8,000 researchers, without a reference date.
According to a KU Leuven update published on Science|Business, Severine Vermeire was elected Rector on 20 May 2025. She leads an executive team of seven vice rectors for 2025 to 2029, which is responsible for the daily management of the university. The vice rectors were approved by the university’s governing bodies, including the Academic Council, the Board of Governors and the Board of Trustees. The same update refers to campuses in Brussels and to the Kulak campus.
