JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER), formerly JSS University, is a deemed to be university in Mysuru, Karnataka, established in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. It is part of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, which runs a range of educational institutions, and has been graded a Category-I deemed university by the UGC.
Its constituent units include JSS Medical College, JSS Dental College and Hospital, and colleges of pharmacy in Mysuru and Ootacamund (Ooty), Tamil Nadu, together with faculties of life sciences, management studies, biomedical sciences and yoga. In its NIRF 2023 data submission, the most recent readable file on its website, it reported 7,390 undergraduate and postgraduate students and 554 PhD students. The Vice Chancellor is Dr H. Basavanagowdappa.
