The International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIIT-H) is in Hyderabad, Telangana. It describes itself as an autonomous university founded in 1998 as a not-for-profit public private partnership, and the first IIIT in India under that model. Its History page says it began with 50 students in repurposed government buildings.

The institute is organised around research centres rather than traditional departments. Its At a Glance page, dated July 2026, reports 2,605 students, 158 faculty, 29 research centres, 30 programmes, 156 non-teaching staff, 7,462 alumni and a 66-acre campus. Prof. Sandeep Kumar Shukla is Director, and Prof. Ashok Jhunjhunwala chairs the Governing Council.
