Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Jharkhand cancels admission of students who failed to pay the fees

214 students have been removed for not being able to pay the fees for the monsoon semester.

TED NewsDesk, Dhanbad: Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Jharkhand has rusticated 214 students on account of non-payment of fee for the monsoon semester. The students thus expelled did not pay the college fee or register themselves for the next semester despite multiple notices from their respective departments.

However, these students will be able to continue their studies if they fill the A5 form, after filling the form, their results will also be provided. The deadline for filling the for is December 16. According to the Director of the institute, R Shekhar, “There are 8000 students in the institute but only 214 did not pay heed to the notice and norms of IIT ISM. They were asked to register themselves in their respective academic courses and pay their fee but notices send by the institute were ignored.”

The Member of Parliament from Dhanbad, PN Singh assured that he would look into the matter and consult the Director of the institute and ask him to take care of the problem. He said that the matter is of grave importance as the career of 214 future technocrats is in question, he will make sure that the issue terminates with a solution.
