BYJU’S launched its new initiative BYJU’S ‘Give’ on Friday

November 21, 2020.

TED NewsDesk, Bengaluru: One of the premiered ventures for online education, BYJU’S launched its new initiative BYJU’S Give on Friday. The objective of the scheme is to expand the area covered by online learning and expose the maximum number of kids to it. It aims at introducing them to remote learning.

The top EdTech venture introduced BYJU’S ‘Give’ under ‘Education for All’ scheme which works towards reunifying education. It also aims at offering chances to avail good quality digital education to 5million underprivileged kids in remote areas by 2025.

BYJU’S Give inspires and allows people to contribute their unused and spare gadgets. The company will then hand them to the needy children after repairing and installing its contents.

“This simple gesture can give a new start to a child’s education, especially in challenging times like these,” stated Mrinal Mohit, COO, BYJU’S.

“At the heart of this initiative, lies a humble dream of every member of the BYJU’S family — to empower children with an equal opportunity to learn and thrive in life,” Mohit said.

The startup, in collaboration with Cashify, will gather, examine and repair the old gadgets. Cashify is a phone e-commerce app. The goal of the scheme is to cater to every kid with good and equal education alongside sensible recycling of unused devices.
