New government and private colleges to be established in Uttar Pradesh: Dinesh Sharma

The state government is likely to set up 51 new Government and 28 Private colleges to improve the state's higher education system.

TED NewsDesk, Uttar Pradesh: The Uttar Pradesh government is likely to set up 51 new Government and 28 Private colleges to improve the state’s higher education system. Dinesh Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh, announced that e-learning parks are under process in more than 120 colleges. The state government released Rs 15 lakh as the fund for big projects and Rs 5 lakh for small projects.

The UP government tweeted about the new constructions on its microblogging site, “28 private universities, 51 state colleges to be opened in Uttar Pradesh.”

On December 14, 2020, the state government disclosed its plans to set up medical colleges in all the 75 districts. Previously Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of UP attended an investment and tourism event, conducted under Uttar Pradesh Association of North America (UPANA), where he affirmed that the government would provide “every facility” to the people who are willing to contribute in the up-gradation of the state.

The decision of the state will help in improving the literacy rate of the state.
