Byju's will provide access to their educational content with the teachers to help them with skill development.

TED NewsDesk, New Delhi: Byju’s the online educational platform has entered into a collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NDMC) to help teachers and trainers gain more proficiency in their respective fields on Thursday.

Byju’s has promised NDMC to make accessible free of online study material and training tools, both academic and non-academic to help the teachers gain more knowledge and for training purposes. This content will be provided to the NDMC teachers in the form of free license, accessible anywhere, for a better learning experience for the teachers, according to a statement.

To make the learning process efficient and useful for the children, and to make advances in the Skill India Mission, the collaborators wish to equip teachers and trainers with important skills and edtech tools.

According to Byju’s founder and CEO Byju Raveendran, “At Byju’s, our overarching goal has always been to make quality content accessible for students and provide teachers with the right content to foster the best learning outcomes for students across the country. This association will further the Digital India vision and boost online learning that has become an integral part of mainstream learning now.”

In the current times, digital technology is playing a big handing imparting knowledge, this collaboration aims to go much further in the future and help the teachers be at par with the skills required in this digital economy, said Raveendran.

The MD and CEO of NSDC, Manish Kumar commented, “Digital learning is emerging as one of the most important tools in modernizing education and skill training. As the skill development ecosystem is evolving from a brick-and-mortar model to a blended model, NSDC is delighted to partner with Byju’s for the professional development of trainers that support powerful teaching and learning.”

At present, Byju’s boasts of more than 75 million registered users and 5.2 million yearly subscriptions to their courses.
