BITS Pilani introduces BITS School of Management

Students who crack exams like CAT, GMAT, GRE can secure admission.

TED NewsDesk, Rajasthan: One of the premiered institutions for engineering, BITS Pilani, introduced a management school named BITS School of Management (BITSoM) on Thursday. The institute has 120 vacancies. Students who crack exams like CAT, GMAT, GRE can secure admission.

The school offers two-year degree courses including modern courses like entrepreneurship and innovation, e-commerce and digital leadership, finance and skill-specific programmes with data science, design thinking, etc.

BITS Pilani plans to set up the school in Mumbai with an estimated budget of Rs 1500 crore. For the time being, the school will operate from BITS Powai campus.

The institute assured to nominate faculty from top business schools across the world. It will include professors from leading B-schools like NYU Stern School of Business, Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Singapore Management Univer and Kellogg School of Management. It also claims to involve well-known industry practitioners.

In the words of the Dean Dr Ranjan Banarjee, the eligibility criteria will not depend solely on the entrance test or the academic qualifications. He added that the institute plans to develop a diverse campus with students from every background (engineering or non-engineering).

The BIT School of Management is an initiative which focuses on training inventive and individualistic thinkers to help them accept and transform the world.
