TED NewsDesk, Kochi: Taking a step forward towards the Aatmnirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan, a Kochi-based new venture introduced a comprehensive application concerned with education. The Practical Learning and Communication Private Ltd. (PECOS), a start-up, named its app as ‘Zixa-world’. The app envelops teaching and learning method of almost all mediums of education like coaching centres, schools, colleges and online platforms. Besides, it is also beneficial to those who are looking forward to becoming online instructors.
Zixa, like most of the educational institutions, offers education based on a school-system. The structure constitutes classrooms, sections along with various faculties and departments. The method of assigning classrooms to both students and teachers are conventional and quite parallel to that of the existing schools in the country.
The Spokesperson of PECOS conveyed that the entire work structure, including the admission process, collection of fees and allotment of classrooms is very smooth and continuous. Apart from the admission process and payment of fees, the educators have access to the portal through the app. It further enables them to mark attendance, prescribe syllabus and schedule, assign tasks to the students, upload materials and organize online classes. Besides, the app also provides them with the option to evaluate the pupils through online examinations.
The flexibility of Zixa offers both objective and subjective structure for the exams, along with the assessment of answers and fair play amid tests. The app also provides a conference room to conduct meetings. Meanwhile, it directs the students to a class wall to exchange thoughts while these meetings take place.
An app meant for videoconferencing, ‘Axis.world’, invented under the Kerala Startup and Startup India Mission, works as an extension of Make in India project. ‘Axis.world’ is likely to enter the larger business domain. It features video conferencing at the lowest bandwidth. Moreover, it also focuses on cyber safety and privacy.
